Thank you to everyone who came together for Reforest the Red Fargo! Over 390 volunteers came together to plant 3,500 trees and shrubs to sustain the Red River for years to come. It truly takes a community working together to make a lasting difference for the Red River! They shared tasks to dig, mulch, water, plant and stake the trees.
Strategically planting trees like this along the Red River creates a buffer, maintains riverbank stability, encourages growth of native plants, habitat for wildlife and improves our water quality (a major source of drinking water for Fargo-Moorhead).
