Over 1400 4th-grade students learned all about water at the Red River Water Festival. From watersheds and water quality to stormwater, trees, water treatment and more.
Thanks to the 80+ volunteers who helped make the Red River Water Festival move as seamlessly as possible with thirteen 4th grade classes participating in a field trip all at the same time! Tasks included leading and assisting with activities, keeping rotations on time, checking in volunteers, raising and lowering canopies, and stuffing resource bags for classrooms.
And the learning doesn’t stop when they leave—their excitement continues at home and in the classroom. Thank you for helping make these hands-on learning experiences possible and investing in the future of our Red River! #RKThanks #LearntheRed
