hank you to those who helped clean up Snakey Creek yesterday! You can read more about it here: https://www.inforum.com/…/volunteers-clean-heaps-of…
We have more dates set to continue working north to get the creek cleaned up. Can you join us? Snakey Creek flows through M. B. Johnson Park in Moorhead and eventually dumps into the Red River. Volunteers are needed to help from 2-4 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 and Monday, October 24. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Can’t make these dates? Let us know your (and anyone else who wants to tag along with you) availability.
Don’t have rain boots? We could still use your help! We need additional adult volunteers who can stay near the bank and help haul trash to our pickup locations. The terrain is difficult to navigate. Volunteers picking up trash in the creek must confirm with us ahead of time that they are capable adults who can bring a pair of waterproof boots (knee high is best) and work gloves (water proof is even better). This will require going up and down steep and slippery banks and navigating around tree snags that are in the creek.
