Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, and sponsors for making Reforest the Red Fargo this year a huge success! Over 300 volunteers came together to plant thousands of trees and shrubs along River Drive South near the Red River.
We ended up having great weather for tree planting and rain afterwards that benefited the trees. Volunteers dug holes, planted, staked, mulched and watered the trees.
These trees and shrubs will improve riverbank stability, encourage the growth of native plants, improve water quality, provide habitat for river wildlife, and more!
More photos from the event will be posted in our Facebook event page.
Project partners: The City of Fargo, Fargo Park District, River Keepers, and Cass County Soil Conservation District
