Save money on your water bill and protect the Red River’s water quality by making and painting your own 55 gallon rain barrel. This two day workshop includes a short presentation about the basics of water quality, the effects of stormwater runoff and step by step building of a rain barrel.
Participants will prime their rain barrel the first day and build/paint their rain barrel the second day.
Rain barrels will be available to pick up on an appointment basis the following week to allow for drying time.
Wear clothes you don’t mind painting in and dress for the weather.
Fee: $74 or $69 for Moorhead residents. Fee includes supplies for building and painting your rain barrel.
This workshop is hosted by River Keepers and Clay Soil and Water Conservation District with support from Cass County Soil Conservation District.
