Moorhead Parks and Recreation and River Keepers are excited to help you experience the Red River in downtown Moorhead.
LOCATION: The Rental Shack at Hjemkomst Landing in the Hjemkomst Center parking lot, 202 1st Ave N, Moorhead.
HOURS OF OPERATION: May 27 – September 6 (closed July 4)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 – 8 pm
- Saturdays 11 am – 6 pm
- Sundays noon – 6 pm
COST: $10/hour/vessel, prorated after the first hour.
VESSELS: Single and tandem kayaks and canoes are available on a first-come first-served basis. Rentals include paddles and life jackets.
RIVER LEVELS: We want all skill levels to enjoy the Red River safely. We are not open if the river is running over 1500 cfs. For more information on Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ River Level Interpretations for Paddling, go to dnr.state.mn.us/river_levels/index.html.
