*Monthly Volunteer Series: August 6 from 5:30 – 7:30pm in West Fargo. Meet other River Keepers volunteers while helping the community LEARN, SUSTAIN and ENJOY the Red River! *Storm Drain Marking Program: This is also a project you can go out and do on your own! We need volunteers to mark drains with markers that say, “No Dumping, Drains to River” and place door hangers on nearby residents doors to reduce storm water pollution in Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo. Sponsored by City of West Fargo, Fargo, and Moorhead.
*Red River Bank Cleanups: Enjoy an outdoor walk near the Red River while removing trash. Volunteers are needed to remove trash from stretches along the Red River in Fargo and Moorhead. This can be a one-time cleanup or a long-term commitment where you adopt a stretch.
*Drain Cleanups: Help keep our drainage ditches clean! We’re looking for adult volunteers to cleanup around the drainage ditches in Fargo and Moorhead. Project partners: River Keepers, Fargo Park District, and Southeast Cass Water Resource District
*T-shirt to Tote Project: Turn T-shirts into totes to reduce plastic bag waste going to the Red River! Tasks include cutting, tying, ironing, or sewing.
