A big thank you to North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) for partnering on our water quality monitoring program!
River Keepers has been sampling four sites on the Red River and Wild Rice River since 1999 with the help of volunteers. Samples that are collected go to NDDEQ and the data is used for their Watershed Management Program. MPCA uses our transparency data to track water clarity trends and to formally assess the health of the river by comparing data to state water quality standards.
