Volunteer with us in April! Help with these top projects (some are weather dependent). Mark interest at riverkeepers.org/volunteer or by using the links below:
*Activity Assistant: Lead an activity at our booth at Party for the Planet on April 26, from 10:45 – noon, noon – 2pm, or 2-4pm. The activity is easy to teach. https://www.signupgenius.com/…/8050F4FADA929A3F94…
*Barrel Cleaning: Help clean used 55 food grade barrels for our Resilient Yard Series on April 17 from 1-3pm at a wash bay in Fargo. Email Kim at Kimberly@riverkeepers.org to signup.
*Red River Bank Cleanups: Reaches of the Red River can be either cleaned on a one-time basis or adopted long term. Great for all ages! Project Partners: River Keepers, Fargo Park District and Moorhead Parks and Recreation
*Fargo Drain Cleanups: Adult volunteers can clean up a stretch of Drain 27 located in South Fargo. Drain 27 connects to the Red River in the Rose Creek neighborhood. This will require getting close to the water in the ditch and using pickers to grab the trash. Project partners: River Keepers, Fargo Park District, and Southeast Cass Water Resource District
*Storm Drain Marking Program: We need volunteers to mark drains with markers that say, “No Dumping, Drains to River” and give door hangers to nearby residents to reduce storm water pollution in Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo. Sponsored by City of West Fargo, Fargo, and Moorhead.
*More volunteer opportunities are open for May, June, and July including water quality monitoring, Race the Red, and youth fishing clinics. See all the openings here (Use the tabs on the top of the screen to switch events).
