Celebrate Our Red

Celebrate Our Red is a board led fundraising event for River Keepers at the Hotel Donaldson. Hors d’oeuvres buffet, beer and wine, silent auction and doorprizes. Silent auction items are unique and have included a downtown rooftop tour, Fargo Brewing Company tour, Fargo-Moorhead area attractions package, rain barrel and installation, catfishing trip, and more!

Fishing

Youth and their families are invited to learn the basics of fishing and try your hand at landing a big one at the RiverArts Fishing Clinic from 5:30 – 8 p.m. in Memorial Park in Moorhead. Free event!

Land Trail Development

To ensure trails developed along river are connected. Examples: Complete bike path by Oak Grove Park making a loop from Lindenwood to Oak Grove, across the River to Memorial Park and down to Gooseberry Park and to have pedestrian bridges usable throughout the whole year.

Sister Rivers

River Keepers developed a Sister River relationship between the Red River of the North and the Dniester River in Moldova, Europe. Our partner in Moldova is Eco-TIRAS, an international environmental association of River Keepers. With funding from Museums & Communities Collaboration Abroad (MCCA) which is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State in partnership with the American Association of Museums to cooperate with the Rodger Ehnstrom Nature Center in Wahpeton, ND, and the Natural and History City Museum of Bendery in the Transdniester region of Moldova.
